Durock or Hardibacker??????????

Just about to start my first slab shower/tub enclosure and (http://maplered.com) want to get advice from you guys on which type of backer board to use on the walls... Durock or Hardibacker? Why one versus the other?

What should I use to hold the slab (blue pearl) to the backer board... thin set, epoxy, both?

What are the preferred mechanical (back up for west coast earthquakes) anchoring fasterners and (http://maplered.com) who sells them?
